Folks started drifting in by six o'clock. By eight o'clock the place was jumping. Late comers wanted to hear all the stories again, and to tell their stories. Most wore their race medals. The next morning it was hard to remember it all — the day, the race, the party, the stories. As Ray aptly put it, "I spent a lot more time at The Parlour last night than on the course!" Now if we could only keep the memories alive forever — but they're already fading.
