Three Bridges Run # 1: Sunday, August 24th. Signups open now!

Come join the New York Flyers for the first of our two annual long runs! This is fantastic training for the NYC Marathon. The run parallels the NYC Marathon course for much of the way and reaches the Queensboro Bridge at a similar mileage as you will during the NYC Marathon. Open to all!

When is the run: : Sunday, August 24
The full distance of this run is 20 miles, but it is easy to shorten it by finishing at any of the many nearby subway stops along the way.
· Check-in for registered runners opens at 6:45 AM at the Fleet Feet Running Store on the 2nd Floor of the Deutsche Bank Center (formerly the Time Warner Center.
At check-in, you will receive a bib, pins and a place to drop off your baggage.
· Bag check is available and will be secured until event closure at 1:00 PM. Unclaimed bags will be left inside FF by the lockers but PLEASE NOTE there will not be anyone to watch them once the event ends at 1:15 PM.
· Once you have signed in and checked in your bag, you can head up to the 3rd FLOOR RESTROOMS (if needed) and then to the start at Maine Monument, Columbus Circle.
· Bathrooms on the 3RD FLOOR will be open from 7:00 AM onward. There are no bathrooms available on the 2nd floor. Be aware there will be approx 150 runners in the area so expect the bathrooms to be in high demand.
Registered runners will also get a 10% discount at Fleet Feet.
TIMELINE OF EVENTS:
6:45 AM: Runner Check-In begins
7:00 AM – Brief Meeting with PACERS at the back of store in the Shoe Department
7:15 AM: Pace groups form at Maine Monument (across from TWC at southwest entrance to Central Park) w/ pacers delivering pre-run briefing to their runners
7:25 AM - Group photos
7:35 AM - Begin the run
· 7:35 AM: 8:00 & 8:30 min/mile groups
· 7:37 AM 9:00 & 9:30 min/mile groups
· 7:39 AM 10:00 & 10:30 min/mile groups
· 7:41 AM 11:00 & 11:30 min/mile groups
· 7:43 AM 12:00 - 13:30 min/mile groups
We strongly suggest that you carry some cash, a metro card and a phone, plus a copy of the route and directions, which you can get on Heylo.
This fantastic run will prepare you, both physically and mentally, for the challenges that await you in November!
