Is Forest Hills really the most beautiful neighborhood in NYC? Here’s the chance for every New Yorker to find out. On Saturday September 2 (Labor Day Weekend), New York Flyers and friends will run the most beautiful streets of this recreated English village in the heart of Queens. The run to Forest Hills passes through SEVEN other neighborhoods with remarkable personality throughout New York’s largest borough.
Meet at 7:30 AM at 60th St & First Ave (Trader Joe's)
Or another option: 7:45 AM at 29-15 Queens Plaza North (Courtyard Marriott)
Pace 9:15mm: 11.0 miles to Forest Hills
Pace 10:15mm: 9.75 miles to Forest Hills
Pace 11:30mm: 9.0 miles to Forest Hills
Both paces: Easy 2 mile run in Forest Hills
Optional: 8.0 mile return run
The Run to Forest Hills will include pacers. There are several public rest rooms and water fountains along the way.
The runs to Forest Hills will be steady with only rest room and water stops. At Forest Hills all pace groups will gather for an easy 2.75 mile run. Runners will then have the choice to:
- Join team brunch
- Run back to Queens/Manhattan
- Subway to Queens/Manhattan - 23 minutes to 53rd St & Fifth Avenue
The routes are designed to be safe and easy to follow while providing a new adventure for Flyers and friends from teams throughout Queens. There are convenient public rest rooms and water fountains along the way, as well as bodegas for recharge and hydration. And, of course, we’ll have a destination food experience for everyone to celebrate!
