Central Park Volunteer Day

DATE/TIME: SATURDAY, MAY 6th, 10AM - NOON
WHAT: Past events have included raking, planting, pruning, painting, weeding, and more.
WHERE: TBD at a location in Central Park
WHY: Heather Marcellis launched these events for the Flyers with Central Park Conservancy (CPC) in 2004, and she and Dave Kleckner have co-led together since 2010. The intent remains to give back and help maintain the beauty that is Central Park, where so many of us do so much of our running. We've held these events as often as 2-3 times per year, and not since the pandemic, but just got the go-ahead from CPC to resume.
WHY ELSE: Camaraderie and Cookies (Heather will be baking and bringing her extraordinary cookies once again) 
Registration: Procedures have changed. CPC no longer is limiting this to NY Flyers participants. Rather it is first come first serve via the CPC website. So please only register if you know you can make it, but please don't delay since the event is open to the public and will sell out -- so if you don't act quickly you may get closed out.

***UPDATE (APRIL 12, 2023): The event already is sold out, however, Central Park Conservancy said they'll accommodate 4 more Flyers beyond those who already registered by April 11th.
