Marathon Gel Station Volunteers

Come on out and enjoy the marathon without actually having to run!
Marathon Sunday - the BEST DAY in the city! - is November 5th and if you want to be a part of it without running - this is your chance!
Support your friends, fellow Flyers, family members and 50K+ other random strangers get through the toughest point on the course by supplying life giving SIS gels and cheers of encouragement at the Mile 18 Gel station!
Here are the details:

Two shifts available: 8am-2pm and 1pm-5:30pm

Location: most likely 97th St and 1st Ave but stay tuned for details

If you ask your family or friends to join us as volunteers, they will need to create a profile on the NYRR page before they can sign up for a shift (they don't need to be a member)

Please remember to designate that you (or your family/friends) are joining the station as a New York Flyer in the pull down menu so we get credit. We get an extra bib for next year's marathon for every 20 people we bring out on the day

Children are welcome! You will be able to add them to your sign up or sign them up separately
UPDATE: We now have a direct link to the 2 shifts BUT YOU MUST BE LOGGED INTO YOUR NYRR ACCOUNT TO BE DIRECTED TO THE PAGE. Otherwise you will be kicked to the general volunteer page and have to scroll endlessly to find the 2 shifts.
