Long Training Run #8August 22nd – Croton-on-Hudson RunI will be inviting the Flyer masses to a long training run at Croton-On-Hudson. We will be running the 20 mile route that Tim Decker mapped out for us a few years ago. I will have course maps available for runs of 12, 17, and 20 miles in distance to give everyone the option of running a shorter distance. I will need the services of two volunteers with cars to man water/fluid stations along the route at mile 4 and mile 8 outbound. Drivers are appreciated but there is a train station, our starting point, at Croton-On-Hudson, the Croton Harmon station. I would like to start by 9am. There is a 7:20 train leaving from Grand Central station that arrives in Croton Harmon at 8:28am. Return service trains are available from 11am and continuing about every 30 minutes through 4pm. I will be driving so I can take a few passengers. I would appreciate it if any other drivers could volunteer. This is a great course so try to make it out if you can and join in the fun. Start time from the train station parking lot will be 9am. I will have a cooler with plenty of fluids post run. Meeting Time: meet approximately 8:30 AM. Start run by 9:00 AM.
