SUMMARY:Presidents & Patriots Run POSTPONED
DESCRIPTION:The Presidents and Patriots Run is strictly non-partisan. The ten-mile route celebrates and knocks Presidential figures of both parties pretty much equally. The start at Columbus Circle and finish near the Battery are close to most subway lines\, as is an easy cutoff at halfway in Washington Square Park. Although the run ends near the Battery\, it’s an easy seven mile run back along the Hudson River for those who want a long run.  \n\n\n\nThe run includes Presidents\, Would-be Presidents\, International leaders and other great notables that tell the story of everything Presidential in New York! \n\n\n\nDate: Postponed- We will post rescheduled at later date \n\n\n\nTime: 8 AM \n\n\n\nStart: Columbus Circle\, Maine Monument \n\n\n\nPaces: 9:00 & 11:00 \n\n\n\nDistance: 10 Miles @ 9M/M (With options for 5 Miles and 17 Miles) \n\n\n\nDistance:  8 Miles @ 11M/M (With options for 4.25 & 15 Miles) \n\n\n\nWhat to Wear & Bring: This is an unsupported run so you may want to bring your own fluids and fuel. \n\n\n\nQuestions: Contact Brad Goz

Continue heading north to the Queensboro Bridge. After crossing the Queensboro Bridge continue directly to Jackrabbit at Time Warner Center for a shorter run or back in to Central Park to complete the full 20 miles ending at Jackrabbit at Time Warner Center \n\n\n\nFluid Stations: There are three fluid stations along the route. The first fluid station will be at Hudson River Greenway and Chambers St\, around mile 7.1 The second fluid station will be around mile 11.1 at Kent Av and Clymer St. in Brooklyn. The third fluid station is around mile 15 in Queens just before the Queensboro Bridge at the intersection of 11th street and Queens Plaza South. Each fluid station will have water\, Gatorade\, and PowerGels.  There are some public water fountains and bathrooms along part of the route. \n\n\n\nPace groups: There will be at least one pacer for each group starting at 8:00 minutes/mile through 12:00 minutes/mile at 30 second intervals. We will help group runners who may want to run sub 8:00 minutes/mile\, if there is interest. \n\n\n\nMore Details: Come join the New York Flyers for the first of our two annual Three Bridges runs! This is fantastic training for the NYC Marathon\, as it parallels the NYC Marathon course for much of the way and reaches the Queensboro Bridge at the same mileage as you will during the NYC Marathon. Open to all!   The full distance of this run is 20 miles\, but it is easy to shorten it by finishing at the Manhattan end of the Queensboro Bridge (16 miles)\, the Queens end of the Queensboro Bridge (15 miles) or at any of the many nearby subway stops along the way.   This run starts and finishes at Jackrabbit Running Store (formerly the NY Running Co.) at Time Warner Center at Columbus Circle (60th/Broadway) with baggage check and will take us through three boroughs and over three bridges (the Brooklyn Bridge\, Pulaski Bridge\, and 59th Street Bridge). We will cross the 59th Street Bridge at about mile 16\, almost the same as in the TCS NYC Marathon. This fantastic run will prepare you\, both physically and mentally\, for the challenges that await you on November 6\, 2022. \n\n\n\nTo see who else is signed up\, click HERE. \n\n\n\nSign up to volunteer as a pacer HERE. \n\n\n\nIf you're not running\, you can sign up to volunteer at a Fluid Station HERE.
