Full details on Heylo! \n\n\n\nThe full distance of this run is 20 miles\, but it is easy to shorten it by finishing at the Manhattan end of the Queensboro Bridge (16 miles)\, the Queens end of the Queensboro Bridge (15 miles) or at any of the many nearby subway stops along the way.   \n\n\n\nMeet at the Fleet Feet Store at Columbus Circle. We will start running at the Maine Monument in Central Park\, then west on 72nd Street to the Hudson River Greenway. Take the Greenway south and then cross east on Warren Street through City Hall Park across the Brooklyn Bridge to the steps to exit the bridge. Run around the perimeter of the Brooklyn Navy Yard and Steiner Studios heading north along the Brooklyn waterfront until reaching the Pulaski Bridge to cross in to Queens. Continue heading north to the Queensboro Bridge. After crossing the Queensboro Bridge continue directly to the Fleet Feet store at Columbus Circle for a shorter run\, or back into Central Park to complete the full 20 miles ending at Fleet Feet in the Deutsche Bank Center (formerly Time Warner Center.) \n\n\n\nThere are three fluid stations along the route. The first fluid station will be at Hudson River Greenway and Chambers St\, around mile 7.1 The second fluid station will be around mile 11.1 at Kent Av and Clymer St. in Brooklyn. The third fluid station is around mile 15 in Queens just before the Queensboro Bridge at the intersection of 11th street and Queens Plaza South. Each fluid station will have water\, Gatorade\, and Power Gels.  There are some public water fountains and bathrooms along part of the route. \n\n\n\nPace groups: There will be at least one pacer for each group starting at 8:00 minutes/mile through 12:00 minutes/mile at 30 second intervals. We will help group runners who may want to run sub 8:00 minutes/mile\, if there is interest. \n\n\n\nMore Details on Heylo! This run will take us through three boroughs and over three bridges (the Brooklyn Bridge\, Pulaski Bridge\, and 59th Street Bridge). We will cross the 59th Street Bridge at about mile 16\, almost the same as in the TCS NYC Marathon. This fantastic run will prepare you\, both physically and mentally\, for the challenges that await you on November 3\, 2024.

SUMMARY:Monumental Women Run
DESCRIPTION:Starting Point: Time Warner Building \nPaces: 9:00 to 9:30 mm and 11:00 to 11:30 mm \nDistances: 5 to 15 miles \nOrganizer: Brad Goz \nThere are 145 public monuments dedicated to historic men in the City of New York.  There are six monuments dedicated to eight women.  On Saturday morning March 29\, the New York Flyers will salute these women with our Monumental Women Run\, a 5 to 12 mile celebration that will visit these monuments and many more sites that highlight the contributions woman have made to our City and the world.   \nThe run will offer groups at 9+ and 11+ minute/mile paces.  While much of the event takes place on city streets\, most of our tour runs in or next to parks to help ensure a steady run.   \nTo beat traffic and accommodate both 7AM and 9AM Flyer groups that run on Saturday morning\, this special run will begin at 8AM.   \nThere’s a bit of good news in the limited New York tribute to women.  When you honor only eight women from the past 800 years\, chances are they will be extraordinary and\, indeed\, each woman conveys a compelling story.  I fell in love with every one of them while researching this run.  I think you will as well.  Visit their monuments and share their stories on one of the most exciting runs you will ever enjoy in the world’s greatest city. \n  \nRSVP Here: Please fill out this form to let us know you are coming.  \nAlternative End Points: \n  5 miles: 125th Street & train back to start \n  9 miles: 72nd & Riverside & Return to Park \n  11.5 miles: Bryant Square Park  \n  12.5 miles: Back to Columbus Circle \n(9:00 M/M Pace runners run 15% farther than distances above.) \nMany teammates will join for breakfast after the run. Point TBD!  \nVolunteers Needed: If you are interested in volunteering for this event please fill out the volunteer form.
